Ten Years After
On November 14, 2003 (ten years ago today!) a band known as Matt Arthur & “The Bratland Family Players” played its first show. In 2004 we simplified the name to “the Bratlanders,” and three of the four original members are still playing today! Literally today, since we’ve got our final local show of the year tonight at a big “Northfield Gives” event to celebrate area non profits at the Grand Event Center.
Tonight actually kicks off a couple weeks of additional anniversaries, with four of the five band members celebrating birthdays between now & Thanksgiving! Matt’s birthday is this Sunday, November 17, and he’ll be marking the occasion with an appearance at St. Paul’s House of Mercy at 5:00 that evening. It’s his second time visiting the church, and if you’re a fan of good old-fashioned country gospel, you really owe it to yourself to check it out!
After that, it looks like you’ll have just one more chance to catch us in concert before the end of the year. Stay tuned for details on that, and we’ll hope to see y’all soon!
