Saint Paul!
We’ve got a confession to make: we’ve never played at the Amsterdam Bar & Hall in Minnesota’s beautiful capital city. But all that is about to change TOMORROW, when we hook up with our dear friends Germaine & Rich and conquer the fabled Last City of the East. We already know there will be aREAD MORE
Are you Lonesome tonight?
We’re pretty sure it’s not possible to feel lonesome on a Friday night at Palmer’s Bar. We’re also pretty excited to be sharing the night with Seattle’s “haunted boogie” practitioners Lonesome Shack as they make a tour stop in Minneapolis to play the venerated West Bank institution. Friday, July 19 in Minneapolis!

Our July invasion of the Twin Cities kicks off on Wednesday, July 10 with an appearance on the fabulous KFAI radio show “Freewheelin’ with Jackson Buck!” We’ll be Jackson’s guests during his 2:00-4:00 pm roots rockin’ show, playing songs from our album and spinning some cuts from the Deadstring Brothers as we promote our July 13READ MORE

Which was of interest for two reasons: 1) Whenever the word “Brothers” makes it into a headline, it’s usually a good thing; and 2) WE’RE PLAYING AREAD MORE
Neil Freakin’ Young!
Our friend Rich pulled together a massive Neil Young Tribute Show at Northfield’s Contented Cow recently. We decided that it was high time we had a few Neil songs in our repertoire, so this was a great opportunity to work some up and foist them upon a drunken and appreciative crowd. We played “Barstool Blues”READ MORE
Blooming Prairie Times
We had a nice full-page write-up in the April 9 issue of the Blooming Prairie Times, which is Matt’s hometown newspaper. It wasn’t published online, but you can read it here. Hoping to make the big time with ‘Heavy on My Mind’ By Alan Van Ormer, Managing Editor Blooming Prairie Times — A local band isREAD MORE
