The Kindest Cruelest Month

Taxidermy, beer, and rock & roll!

I don’t know if any of y’all remember the winter of 2014, but it kinda sucked. Every time we played a show, the weather was horrible. We managed to get safely to and from all but one of them, but that missed one was a big ‘un. So we decided it wouldn’t be such a bad thing to spend the latter half of the winter of 2015 hunkered down in southern Minnesota, staying below the radar and working on some new sounds. And now that we’ve made it to April, we’re pleased to announce that we’re ready to come out of hibernation!

We’ll come roaring out of the gate on Tuesday, April 14 with a rare hometown show, and our first gig at the venerable Rueb ‘n’ Stein since 2012! This is the kick-off event for the 2015 North by Northfield festival and a book release party for our friend Ben Percy.

On Saturday, April 18 we’re heading to the best record store in Saint Paul, Barely Brothers Records, for a special afternoon set in celebration of Record Store Day. We’ll be joined by our brethren The Counterfactuals and The Holy Broke, and it starts at 1:00 pm.

And then we’ll wrap up the kindest cruelest month on Friday, April 24 with a return to our favorite Minneapolis haunt, Palmer’s Bar, to inaugurate our Fourth Friday Residency! The Holy Broke opens at 10pm.

As always, you can find details about these shows on our Events Page. See y’all soon!
